Texas Everbearing Fig - Ficus carica 'Texas Everbearing'
The Texas Everbearing Fig is said to bear fruit almost all summer. It is in some ways like the Brown Turkey, but has slightly larger fruit. This high-quality fig is excellent for preserves. Self-pollinating Note : Not quite as cold-hardy in this area as some other figs. However, you can improve its chances by cutting the tips of each branch or limb about 6 inches, which will allow sap to flow out the end. This will help the tree withstand winter temperatures. * Deer May Browse * Photo courtesy of Toms Creek Nursery in Denton, NC Ornamental Characteristics Category Fruit Tree Environmental Characteristics
