Stellar Pink Hybrid Dogwood (Cornus x rutgan 'Stellar Pink')
After 25 years of work by Dr. Elwin Orton, Jr., Rutgers University has patented and released several Cornus kousa x Cornus florida crosses. These hybrids are more resistant than Cornus florida to the common borer and Dogwood Antracnose. The blooming period lasts about 14-15 days and blooms after Cornus florida but before Cornus kousa.
