Lady Banks White Climbing Rose (Rosa banksiae 'Alba Plena')

After hundreds of years (at least) in Chinese gardens, the first Lady Banks White Climbing Rose, which was white like this one, was brought to England by botonist Sir Joseph Banks, who named it for his wife. This 'Alba Plena' (white) cultivar is a vigorous climber that is covered with miniature white double blossoms in spring. Slight fragrance; some thorns. Disease Resistant and Low Maintenance , although long canes need support.
