Pachysandra terminals - Japanese Spurge
Pachysandra is excellent groundcover for a partially shaded area. You can plant it under shallow-rooted trees. In mid-spring, it produces inconspicuous but fragrant white flowers. Transplants easily. Needs no pruning; however, every few years or so, in late winter, it benefits from being mowed on a high setting, which aerates it and gives it a fresh start. Try under-planting daffodils; when blooms and spent and foiliage droops, you can hide yellowing daffodil leaves under the pachysandra. Excellent, deer resistant ground-cover for small shady areas. This improved selection has attractive evergreen stems with extra-glossy, bright green leaves. Tiny white flowers begin to appear in the spring. Spreads to form a dense carpet. Perfect for mass plantings under large trees in a shade to dappled sunlight setting. * Deer Resistant * Easy Care Photos courtesy of Classic Groundcovers in Athens, GA & Toms Creek Nursery in Denton, NC Ornamental Characteristics Category Perennials Ground-cover Berries Environmental Characteristics
