Quick Fire Hardy Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata 'Bulk')
A breakthrough plant that blooms more than a month earlier than other varieties. Can start blooming in May. Blooms change from white to a rich pinkish red before other varieties start to flower. This is a very hardy selection that blooms reliably every year, no matter where you live or how you prune. Pruning : Deadhead faded flowers, cross-branches or dead stems in Late Autumn (after it hits dormancy & drops its leaves) or in Early Spring; do not prune otherwise. P aniculatas can be pruned into single-stem 'tree form' Photos courtesy of Toms Creek Nursery in Denton, NC (336) 857-2131 Ornamental Characteristics Category Flowering Shrub Environmental Characteristics
