The arborvitae is one of the oldest conifer trees that provide multiple purposes in landscaping, music, and medicine. The oil from the bark is used in medicine and the wood is used as a soundboard for guitars. Arborvitae's come in various types, shapes, and sizes. The Woodward Globe is one of the older arborvitaes. The Woodward Globe is known for its pleasing aroma when the leaves are squeezed and its bi-coloration of green and brown in the Winter.
